Rick Warren Wants Us To "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb...Bomb, Bomb Iran"

Oh, and he wants us to assassinate
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad too!

I, or rather the Lord, beseech you as Christ's heralds to publish this everywhere and to persuade all people of whatever rank, foot-soldiers and knights, poor and rich, to carry aid promptly to those Christians and to destroy that vile race from the lands of our friends. I say this to those who are present, it meant also for those who are absent. Moreover, Christ commands it!

– Pope Urban II Speech at Clermont starting The Crusades

Holy Pat Robertson!

Remember when John McCain made that feeble joke about bombing Iran? Singing it to the tune of "Barbra Ann". Well, Pastor Rick Warren (he of the best-selling book and the mega church with a skate board park) told Sean Hannity (on Fox, of course) that America should feel free to assassinate Ahmadinejad and bomb Iran.

It wasn't part of a joke.

He didn't sing it, either:

HANNITY: Am I advocating something dark, evil or something righteous [by saying we should kill Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad]?

WARREN: Well, actually, the Bible says that evil cannot be negotiated with. It has to just be stopped. And I believe…

HANNITY: By force?

WARREN: Well, if necessary. In fact, that is the legitimate role of government. The Bible says that God puts government on earth to punish evildoers. Not good-doers. Evildoers.

Warren has shown himself to be nothing more than a Rod Parsley in a Hawaiian shirt.
