The Latest Exit Polls: Boy! Will Pope Benedict Be Pissed!!

A Lot Of Catholics Will Be Lining Up To Have Their Knuckles Rapped With A Ruler! (or worse!)

Figure

This election, the economy trumped God. The percentages of Catholics, Protestants, born-again Evangelicals as voters were further up in the Obama campaign than in 2000 or 2004. Yes, only 26% of evangelicals voted for Obama, but that was up 5 points from 2004. And the Democratic figures for Catholics went up 7 points since 2000. So while Tony Perkins is crowing about keeping matrimony "holy" in California, he won't talk about the "abortionist and socialist menace" until he needs money. Which will be too soon for his donor base. They'll be all too worried about what the recession will bring next.

Now take a good look at the numbers and ask yourselves: how many of the McCain voters could be Christofasists?

Now let's look at the religious makeup of the ENTIRE Electorate:

Figure

The combined figures above bring us to a rough figure of 18.5 million evangelicals who voted for McCain. Of that figure who are the rabid Christofascists? How many are Elmer Gantrys and how many are Elmer Fudds? The Gantrys number in the handfuls. That's all that's necessary to control nearly 20 million sheeple. And don't forget, there are Catholic Christofascists as well. Let's bring the total to 25 million. How many of those 25 million have other factors as well? How many are members of the NRA? How many listen - religiously - to the radio screams of James Dobson? How many contribute to the Family Research Council? Watch the 700 Club? Trinity Broadcasting Network? How many tithe?

Even if you're totally conservative in your figures, you could come up with a good 15 million people who:

  • Believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God
  • Believe that God has the human traits of jealousy, vengeance, hatred and cruelty
  • Believe that the world is only 6,000 years old
  • Believe that some of the sins listed in the Bible are punishable by death
  • Believe that there will be a Rapture and that the End Times will be coming soon
  • Believe that EVERYONE needs to be "born-again" to go to Heaven
  • Believe that Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Hindus, Taoists, and many others have false religions and therefore are unsaved (and unworthy to be saved).
  • Believe that there is only ONE TRUE RELIGION - theirs
When I see James Dobson or Pope Benedict, the words Christian and Fascism combine: Christofasicsm (actually coined in 1970). Their worldviews are so skewed to the right that they have no proper perspective. None! Their approach to governance of the American public has some facets of these warning signs:

In Dobson's/Benedict's world:

  • Homosexuals are scapegoats
  • Religion and government MUST be intertwined
  • Intellectuals are distrusted
...and we've already seen the cronyism and corruption of Dobson's George W. B**h

Just a thought.

James Dobson Laments The Election of Barack Obama - Of course!

In Other Words, He's Thinks Obama Is The ANTICHRIST!!

"But to be honest, I have to say that his win causes me enormous concern, because he will be the most committed pro-abortion president in our history, even supporting infanticide for babies who survive botched abortions," Dobson said. "He's in favor of much of the homosexual agenda, and he's going to appoint the most liberal justices to the Supreme Court, perhaps, that we've ever had. So there are many reasons why I'm struggling today over the likely path that nation has taken."

OK, so Dobson despises Obama. We get it. But the whole statement is specious at best. The "infanticide" comment is not true (in the Illinois State Senate Obama voted against an infanticide law because he thought it unnecessary and a "back door attempt" to restrict Supreme Court rulings on abortions). He's never said anything about the (fictitious) "homosexual agenda" and Obama is enough of a Constitutional scholar that he would appoint Justices solely on their knowledge the Constitution and the nation's laws. He does not necessarily agree with the appointment of "activist judges" - a term used about any judge not in agreement with James Dobson and the Christofascist Right.

When talking about same-sex marriage and the fact that many churches did not participate in the orgy of anti-gay sentiment, Gary Bauer, a guest on Dobson's radio show, proclaimed:
"...when the church steps up and speaks moral truth to the flock, people will respond."
Substitute "sheeple" for "people" and you get a better understanding of what Bauer is saying.

And what Dobson wants.

Just a thought.
