Is The President An Idiot? Shhhh...It's A SECRET!!
THEY'RE SCARIER THAN TERRORISTS!
Let's face it, our current administration has been one big secret from the American public. When he came into office, George Bush had his papers as Governor of Texas sealed up and placed under lock and key in his father's Presidential Library. He's constantly denied Congress access to everything but the White House guest bathroom. When he leaves, we still won't know what he knows.
Skull and Bones is known for its secrecy. Mid-nineteenth century Yale enjoyed the presence of freshmen, sophomore and junior societies. Undergraduates then, with their fickle allegiances, would share the rights and practices of their class society upon elevation within the undergraduate ranks. When seniors departed campus, little verifiable information was left about the rites and practices of the senior or secret societies, particularly Bones, then Scroll and Key, and then Wolf's Head. George W. Bush, in his autobiography, states "[in] My senior year I joined Skull and Bones, a secret society, so secret, I can't say anything more." When asked what it meant that he and Bush were both Bonesmen, former presidential candidate, and current U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, John Kerry said, "Not much because it's a secret".
The Illuminati
The Illuminati will once more be in the news thanks to (Da Vinci Code) Dan Brown, whose book, Angels and Demons, will be given the Ron Howard treatment. As with Opus Dei (see below), Dan Brown gives the Illuminati credit for some very nefarious goings on. The "all-seeing" eye on the dollar bill is attributed to the mysterious symbols of this group. These days, the Illuminati can stand for a number of things, similar to "the intelligensia". There are implications even, of a link to the concept of "New World Order" - the title of one of Pat Robertson's books and the peripheral subject of his paranoid conspiracy theories (The Anti-Christ definitely comes from the Illuminati - gasp! See below).
The eye above the pyramid is popular among conspiracy theorists, and alleged to have connections with the Illuminati secret society. There have also been associations made from the pyramid to the Illuminati because it has thirteen steps. The eagle on the one-dollar-bill is also carrying thirteen arrows and thirteen leaves. Furthermore, if a star of David is made on the pyramid, the letters will spell out the word "Mason" in reference to the group of Free Masonry. The history of the dollar bill was featured on The History Channel's "Decoding The Past" program.
Opus Dei
Rumor has it that Justice Antonin Scalia wears a celice under his robes (a kind of barbed-wire-looking silver chain traditionally tied around the thigh to cause extreme discomfort, sometimes tight enough to produce blood). You see, people have suspected him of being a member of Opus Dei, the secret Catholic society featured in The Da Vinci Code. He certainly makes no secret of being the "moral" arm of the Supreme Court. But how ethical is extreme secrecy in a Supreme Court Justice?
Critics state that Opus Dei is "intensely secretive"— for example, members generally do not disclose their affiliation with Opus Dei in public, and under the 1950 constitution, members were expressly forbidden to reveal themselves without the permission of their superiors. This practice has led to much speculation about who may be a member. Opus Dei has been accused of deceptive and aggressive recruitment practices such as showering potential members with intense praise ("Love bombing"), instructing numeraries to form friendships and attend social gatherings explicitly for recruiting purposes, and requiring regular written reports from its members about those friends who are potential recruits.
Bohemian Grove
While everyone WANTS to be at a gathering at Bohemian Grove, no one will actually admit to attending. Rumors of the antics of the rich, famous and the powerful (some naked) have been circulating for the hundred years the Grove has been in existence. The HUGE intimidating owl is also very strange.
The Club's patron saint is John of Nepomuk, who legend says suffered death at the hands of a Bohemian monarch rather than disclose the confessional secrets of the queen. A large wood carving of St. John in cleric robes with his index finger over his lips stands at the shore of the lake in the Grove, symbolizing the secrecy kept by the Grove's attendees throughout its long history.
The Cremation of Care is rather disturbing in that it allows no conscience at all. OK, if you're going to romp in the nude with heads of state and powerbrokers, a conscience is probably the last thing you need!
Secrecy: to rule, to repent, to romp. Why? Maybe if people found out what the gods are doing, they would only be regarded as silly, ordinary fools.Kind of looks like a bad production of AIDA
