Will APPLE Be Extorted by Protect Marriage?

The latest news about Protect Marriage's extortion efforts is so disconcerting that it can't be understated. I don't know exactly why I can't let it go. Maybe it's because of the audacity of it, then maybe it's because of the sheer vindictiveness of it.

Now the newest victim of this extortion: Apple. Surely, it also received the same letter that other businesses received.

(Statement from Apple in an article by Think Progress)

Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.
Come to think of it, did Google get a letter? Did Brad Pitt? They were also big donors. Maybe Brad's said "We'll never watch another one of your movies if you don't give us $100,000! Pay up or you and Angelina and the kids will be in the poor house before you know it!"

Idea: let's call for a letter to the No On Prop 8 donors thanking them for their support and let them know that whenever we get the chance, we'll support their businesses.
